Definition:

Works on any number of stitches.

Row one: Knit

Row two: Purl

Repeat these two rows for pattern.

Used in Fun Fur Knitted Scarf.

Stockinette stitch has a tendency to curl at the edges, which makes a nice finished edge for some projects like a sweater or hat, but can be annoying in other uses.

Used in the Stockinette Stitch Washcloth with a seed stitch border

Also Known As: Knit one row, purl one row; stocking stitch.
