Materials:
- 1 skein of I Love This Cotton! Spark in shade 068 Aqua Spark, or about 50 (60, 70, 80, 90, 100) yards of medium weight yarn of your choice
- One pair US 8 (5 mm) needles
Gauge:
4 stitches and 6 rows to 1 inch in Star Rib Mesh stitch
Size:
To fit a 1 year-old (2 year-old, 3 year-old, 4 year-old, 5 year-old, 6 year-old)
Length: About 11 (12, 13, 14, 15, 16) inches cuff to cuff.

Special Stitches
Star Mesh Rib:
Rows 1 & 3 (wrong side): Purl
Row 2 (right side): K1, *yo, sl2 kwise, K1, p2sso, yo, K1. Repeat from * to end.
Row 4: SSK, yo, K1. *yo, sl2 kwise, K1, p2sso, yo, K1. Repeat from * to last 2 stitches, yo, K2tog.
Selvedge Stitches:
These stitches are constant throughout and are not included in the pattern. For example, when there are increases or decreases at an edge, the selvedges are worked first, and then any shaping is worked.
Right side: slip first stitch knitwise, knit last stitch.
Wrong side: slip first stitch purlwise, purl last stitch.
