There are so many different ways to do ribbing you could probably have a pretty happy life as a knitter knitting almost nothing but different rib stitches.
This week there's Twisted Rib, which involves knitting the knit stitches through the back loop rather than the normal way. This puts a twist in the stitches and makes them stand out in a lovely way.
This pattern would be a good choice for an allover ribbed project like a pair of socks or a vest. It's a little more interesting to knit (and to look at the finished product) than plain ribbing would be.

I love twisted rib. Years ago I always used twisted rib at the bottom & cuffs of sweaters because it just looks so nice & crisp. I too find different ribbing patterns interesting. I recently made a pair of mistake rib socks & they look like a complicated pattern (even though really easy) & are super stretchy so it’d be a good choice for socks for someone who lives far away. Maybe I’ll use it for my grands!
I really like mistake rib, too, although I never thought of using it for socks. Good idea, though. Does this twisted rib have about the same amount of stretch as plain rib?
