Do You Have Knitting Cravings?
Wednesday September 24, 2008
Unfortunately I have some other projects on my plate before I can get to that one, but it got me thinking about knitting cravings. Do you ever have an urge to knit with a particular yarn, to drop everything and knit a sweater even though it's summer, or the feeling that you must knit a bag right now even though you don't particularly need one? Help me feel better about my fiber-related urges by answering this week's poll.

Right now, I’m craving thick blankets. I’m crocheting one with bold yellows and buttery yellows and soft creams, like the colour of the fading sunlight. I almost always want to make blankets this time of year.
I have a major craving to knit a sweater for myself but it is like one of those things I don’t think I’ll ever get around to. I have so much gift knitting to do, and so many deadlines that I always put myself last. I haven’t even started to decide on x-mas gifts yet! There is no time to knit something so large and selfish *tear* :,(
I am a beginning knitter and have a craving to knit several different projects, but am not sure that I would be able to actually knit some of them. I have been collecting yarn, as I do crochet (mostly afghans and dishcloths). Think I will try to attempt more knitting projects this fall & winter - might even be able to have knitted Christmas gifts this year. After all, I have accumulated a lot of different needles and really should use them.
I am addicted to knitting! Really. I knit at all times of day, all hours of the night, in the Dr.’s office, at stop lights, I just cannot get enough. I am constantly thinking of the next project or how to improve on the one I’m currently working on. I admit, I give all my projects away, but it’s become an obsession! I suppose it could be worse…
I had one week of finals in college when I was studying until about 2am and I was never more grateful for my 24 hour wal mart and whatever yarn they were selling. I started a blanket at 2am that night and I still have it in my living room. When knitting cravings hit, they hit hard.
