Must haves
- I save some tabs from soda cans. They work well as stitch markers in a pinch! You can also use straws, if you have a scissor along to snip short lengths. I also carry post it notes, a pen, and a highlighter. I use the post its to mark off number of rows or to underline the row I am on. If my copy is in an acetate, I use highlighter tape, available wherever you can buy school supplies.

- You have a good list almost all that I carry along with the following : Safety pins and scarps of different colors of yarn, Safety pins are used for dropped stitches so that they do not drop further, and the center stitch for a V neck. Knitting Tool Bag
- I have several different knitting tool bags. My smallest bag contains scissors, cuticle stick (to use as cable needle if necessary), tape measure, large safety pin (to use as stitch holder), hand cream, nail file, row counter, small magnifying glass, all in a plastic zip lock bag. This I can throw in with my project bag and I know I have everything, plus I can give myself a mini manicure if necessary.

More "Take Alongs"
- My "take along" bag (a small cosmetic bag) also includes several stitch markers. Never know when you'll need one. I also always pack my NeedleMaster when traveling so If I find a new project to start I always have the right size and length of needle needed.

Pattern Folder
- I find that a clear plastic A4 pocket or folder invaluable. You can read your pattern without removing it from the folder, and it will stay protected from holiday hazards such as dripping ice cream or wine, etc.

Knitting Tool Bag
- I bought a tri-fold jewelry holder with 3 zippered compartments to hold my knitting tools. It works great to throw in my larger knitting bag and it's a wonderful way to organize all those little knitting tools.
