Row 2 (right side): Purl 1, *Knit 1, Purl 1. Repeat from * across.

Row 4: Knit.

Row 6: Purl 1, *Knit 7, Purl 1. Repeat from * across.

Row 8: Knit.

Row 10: Repeat Row 6.

Row 12: Knit.

Repeat these 12 rows for pattern.
