This Staghorn Cable Wrap (or you might call it a cowl) is a super-fast pattern to knit for a gift or to keep yourself warm. Meant to be worn around the shoulders, the wrap is worked mostly in Stockinette Stitch with a cable centered on each side, lending subtlety to the cable.
Worked in a bulky wool yarn, this is the perfect cover up for a cold office or a not-too-cold day.
Materials:
- two skeins Reynolds Lopi Bulky (I used color 86), or about 130 yards of bulky weight yarn of your choice, preferably wool
- size 13 US (9 mm) circular needle, at least 16 inches in length
- four stitch markers (optional)
- cable needle
- scissors and yarn needle for finishing
Gauge:
8 stitches and 12 rows per 4 inches (2 stitches and 3 rows per inch) in Stockinette Stitch. Gauge is not incredibly critical, though a change in gauge will vary your finished size.
Size:
About 40 inches around unstretched and almost 10 inches tall. Will fit a variety of people.
