So far we've worked the base triangles for entrelac and the purl-side triangles and squares. Now it's time to work the knit side squares.

Like the purl side shapes, these are called the knit squares simply because you start them on the knit side and the decreases are worked on the knit side rather than the purl side.

If you are changing colors as you go, now is the time to switch back to your original color.

To work the knit squares you do not need to work side triangles first; simply start with the first square. To do that, slip the one remaining stitch from the right side purl triangle onto the right hand needle with the right side of the work facing and pick up and knit 7 stitches (or the number of stitches needed for the size of your squares).
