Make anything look all spooky and Halloweeny with this pumpkin chart. Add it to a washcloth, towel or any item of clothing you wish. Use beads or shiny or textured yarn for added interest.
For those unaccustomed to knitting from charts -- each square represents a stitch. Work each square in the color represented, or choose your own color scheme. The picture can also be worked in duplicate stitch on top of finished knitting.
This chart is worked in Stockinette Stitch -- every right side row is knit and each wrong side row is purled. This is a good introduction to the intarsia (or picture knitting) technique, as it is small and manageable. Practice on a swatch first if you're uncomfortable working this way.
