KIP

By Sarah E. White, About.com

Definition:

KIP is an acronym for knitting in public. That's what it's called when you take your knitting with you and work on the train, in a park, at the ball game or basically anywhere other than your house.

Many knitters love to knit in public and use it as an opportunity to teach other people about knitting. There's even a Worldwide Knitting in Public Day where groups of knitters get together in public places to knit.
