The About.com Readers' Choice Awards for 2012 allow you to share your opinion about a range of topics. Here at About.com Knitting, I want to hear about your favorite yarn company, knitting needle brand, favorite book of 2011, favorite blogger or knitting website and favorite knitwear designer.
For each category you will have the option of submitting up to three choices. You don't have to give three, and you don't have to offer selections for every category if you don't want to.
Once the nominations period closes, the results will be tallied to come up with five finalists, and a round of voting will determine the winners.
There are so many great yarn companies out there, large and small, producing a wide variety or a specialized selection of yarns. This may be the hardest category, but try to pick a favorite (or three!) for me.
When it comes to knitting needles, I think we all have firmer preferences in terms of materials and brand names than we might when considering yarn. Tell me which company makes your favorite needles for possible inclusion in the final voting for the Readers' Choice Awards.
I know it's hard to stick to books published just in the last year, but there are so many great new books each year, I hope you'll be able to tell me about a favorite (or several) published in 2011.
There are so many great resources for knitting on the web, from blogs that are pretty much all about what that particular knitter is making to instructional sites to pattern sites and everything in between. I'd love to hear which sites you go back to again and again.
Is there a knitwear designer out there that you wish you could knit every one of her designs? Let me know by nominating her (or him!) in the Readers' Choice Awards Favorite Knitwear Designer category.
