The Sun Washcloth is a super simple washcloth or dish cloth that you can easily knit in an evening or two. Using a sunny motif in Reverse Stockinette stitch, it adds interest without increasing the difficulty of the pattern and adds a little extra scrubbing power to your finished piece.
Mine is knit in the beautiful, durable and eco-friendly Lion Brand Recycled Cotton, made with 74 percent recycled materials.
Materials:
- about 60 yards of medium weight cotton yarn of your choice (again I used Recycled Cotton in Sunshine)
- one pair size 8 US knitting needles
- copy of Sun Chart
- scissors and yarn needle
Gauge:
16.5 stitches and 24 rows per 4 inches in Stockinette Stitch. Gauge is not critical.
Size:
Finished cloth is about 6.75 inches wide and 7.5 inches tall.
