When you have worked all the way to the end of the pieces you are seaming together, give the working yarn a final tug. Weave in the end to make sure your seam stays secure.

Mattress stitch is the ideal choice for sewing invisible vertical seams on stockinette stitch. Use it on sleeves, to join squares into an afghan, or anywhere else you'd like a clean, invisible join.
