A Little Something Extra
Simple Stripes Tunic

Simple Stripes Tunic -- modeled by Niamh, aged 3.

There are certain times of the year when "transitional wear" is what is called for. When it's not quite warm and not quite cold, pieces like this Child's Sleeveless Tunic come in handy -- giving an extra layer, without providing too much coverage. And it's easy on and off for those squirmy little bodies!

Materials:

  • 2 (2, 2, 2) skeins Lion Brand Tweed Stripes in shade 201 Orchid, or about 180 (200, 220, 240) yards of bulky weight yarn of your choice
  • 1 pair size US 10 (6 mm) knitting needles
  • Size US 10 (6 mm) crochet hook
  • Yarn needles, tape measure, scissors, stitch holders

Gauge:

3.5 stitches and 6 rows per inch in Stockinette Stitch.

Size:

18 Months (2 Years, 4 Years, 6 Years)

Chest size finished garment: 23 (25, 27, 29) inches

Length from back neck: 14 (15, 16, 18) inches
