Knitting Diamonds:

I love knitting motifs that include diamonds, and this Diamond Brocade block is a winner for any patchwork project you're working on. After a couple of repeats you'll get the rhythm and you'll find that this is actually a pretty quick-to-knit pattern.

Materials:

  • about 100 yards of the worsted weight yarn of your choice (I used Plymouth Encore color 515)
  • one pair size 8 US knitting needles
  • scissors and yarn needle

Gauge:

17 stitches per 4 inches, or 4.25 stitches per inch.

Size:

12 by 12 inch block.

Instructions:

  1. Cast on 49 stitches.
