Today we're taking a closer look at the finalists in the category of favorite knitwear designer for the 2013 Readers' Choice Awards. Once again I'm interested to see who rises to the top, because favorite designer is such a personal choice and these designers are all so different.
I also love that there are two male designers on the list this year: Jared Flood and Stephen West. Of course that's no surprise to anyone who's seen their designs, which are graceful, elegant and entirely wearable at the same time.
Other contenders in this category include sock design virtuoso Cookie A and two designers known for their intricate lace shawls: Erica Jackofsky and Boo Knits. (I have to admit I wasn't familiar with Boo Knits, since I'm not much of a lace shawl person, but her stuff is beautiful.)
This is a category I'm personally torn about because you guys picked a really excellent group of designers. I must say you have great taste!
