There's something about Tamara Mello's book Heart Felt Knits that just draws you in. I guess that would be the fact that her friend and fellow actress Christina Hendricks is on the cover, wearing a striking ruffled scarf.
That image sets the tone for the book as something pretty and fashionable. You'll find projects to wear including a cloche, a chain necklace, a cuff and armwarmers; bags, bowls and trays for the home, booties and hats for little ones and more.
I want to like this book more than I do. There are some really cute projects in here, but it also feels like it repeats motifs and techniques a little more than I'd like. Still, it's a fun book that has some great ideas for people who want to knit something that stands out at a party or anywhere else.
Have you read this book? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
