As we talked about last week, seaming Garter Stitch isn't that difficult, but sometimes you just want to knit in the round. No problem. But before you cast on, join in the round and start happily knitting away, remember that when you're knitting in the round you are always working on the right or front side of the work.
What does that mean for knitting Garter Stitch in the round? Instead of knitting every round, you have to purl every other round. It's kind of mind-boggling that you have to purl to get a fabric that's usually made just by knitting, but that's how knitting in the round works.
Have you ever worked Garter Stitch in the round? Did you like it? I'd love to hear your thoughts. And stay tuned later this week for a fun circular Garter Stitch project to try.
