Mardi Gras is right around the corner, and while it's not exactly a holiday that lends itself to a lot of knitting, I do have one craft designed with that day in mind.

White.My Knit Bead Necklace is an easy way to bring knitting and beads together and a fun thing to wear in a setting where garish plastic beads might not be appropriate. It's worked in a tube, with increases and decreases strategically placed for sliding a wooden bead into the tube as you knit. You could also just fill it with batting if you don't have any beads lying around.
This one is lots of fun to knit and I've been known to wear it other times of the year as well.
