I decided last Friday that I wanted to knit some Christmas presents. Never mind that I'm crocheting a batch of Christmas stockings for a friend, or have a million other crafty things I want to do before the holidays. We knitters are like that, aren't we?
Anyway, whenever I've got a bunch of crafty business to attend to, I like the option of taking my knitting with me wherever I go. But it isn't always convenient to carry my gigantic knitting bag purse everywhere, so I look for other options.
One such possibility is the Yarn-a-Long Bracelet from Rock Farms. This steel and bead beauty is fun to look at and to use. Just poke a center-pull ball onto the contraption, loop it around your arm and you're off. This is a pretty option for when you're knitting in public somewhere people are likely to take notice, like at a nice restaurant or a play. I'll probably keep using a plain bag I can throw over my shoulder for knitting trips to the park, though. What do you think?

Me also for using some kind of discreet bag instead. It SEEMS like a cool concept but, practically speaking, who wants to go around with a big honking ball of naked yarn hanging off your wrist?
I can see using it while on the phone or at my computer. Definitely putting it on the list!
