Holiday Headbands

I don't know why it is that I always think accessories when I think of knitting for holidays, but that's where my mind goes. For instance, washcloths. And headbands. I love headbands, especially now that I have short hair again, and a holiday-themed headband can make an outfit look like it was planned for the occasion when really all you did was throw on a fancy head wrapper.

For teens and adults I have the Lace Headband, a pink and red pattern with an easy peasy lace pattern and long strings to tie it around the back of your head. Of course you could make it in a solid color, or in any color you want to take the holidayness out of it.

And the Heart Headband was designed for a baby, but the Garter Stitch band has so much stretch it will fit on my daughter's head and mine. The heart makes it Valentine's, but a heart is cute on a little girl any time, and you could just knit the band and leave it plain for use throughout the year. On a little one this one can serve as an earwarmer as well, adding function to the cuteness.
