Wordless Wednesday: Two Easy Sweaters
Wednesday October 28, 2009
Back before my little one was born, I was busy trying to knit up some projects to keep her warm for the coming winter (I still am, but I have a lot less time for such things these days, as you can imagine).
Thanks to the great folks on the Knitting forum, I learned about the so-called Five-Hour or Weekend Baby Sweater (here's a link on Ravelry) and I ended up knitting two of them. They take longer than five hours, but it is a quick, easy and fun knit.

Aren’t they the cutest!?! I knit one for my granddaughter in navy and pink, it was so easy and came out beautifully. Your little one will love her sweater. Enjoy!
P.S. Isn’t it amazing how much of your time such a little person needs? Time flies, enjoy each precious minute.
The sweaters are adorable! Cute pattern.
I have been knitting the “5 hour sweater” for more decades than I want to count. My mother taught me to knit on the booties pattern than came with the sweater. She would do the sweater and the hat. I would have the tiny little booties finished by then! LOL I eventually moved on to doing the booties and the hat, while mom did the sweater. I miss being able to do that with my mom. But she gave me a legacy of enjoyment.
I just wanted to congratulate you on your precious addition to your family. I hope you will send us pictures. Best to you all!
