If you've got a lot of yarn you want to use up, there's no better way to do it quickly than knitting a stash afghan on really big needles.

This project uses four strands of yarn held together throughout and size 50 knitting needles to make quick work of a mountain of stash. As shown, it works great as a lap afghan, or knit two or more panels to get rid of even more yarn and sew them together to keep the whole family warm.

This colorful project is a lot of fun (if a bit heavy!) to knit and you'll see big progress in the whittling down of your stash in no time when you work it up.
