What Do You Look for in Summer Knitting Projects?

Tuesday June 30, 2009
When it comes to knitting in the summer, different people have different expectations. Some people want easy knitting that doesn't take a lot of attention away from watching baseball games or talking with friends at the beach.

Others are up for a bigger challenge since they might have more time to concentrate away from some of the pressures of work, school and family commitments that seem to be so much greater at other times of the year.

And others still don't care what the project is as long as it's worked with a lightweight yarn. This week I'd love to hear what your preferences are for summer knitting. If you'd like to share what you've been working on so far, please do so in the comments below.

How can you not like bamboo for the summer? It moves with your body so as to increase the air flow around your skin. It’s natural so it breathes. It flows rather than just sit on your body. Anyone looking for a great summer project should find aa plain, short sleeved sweater pattern so they can change the body to a fancy design of their choosing and then go to town with a great bamboo color!

Cotton yarn. Great time to get caught up in knitting dishcloths, towels, and spa sets.
