A Bunny Bonnet

Bunny hatBunny hat, (c) Sarah E. White.
This time of year has me knitting a lot for kids, given that two of the little ones I know have birthdays in December and January. This year I decided to make the kids animal-inspired hats, and the latest of these creations is this bunny hat.

I made mine from part of a ball that had been in my stash for awhile, and I think it's a great project for using up an odd ball that might be lingering in your house (of course bunnies come in colors other than white, too). The hat was well received (though more so by the parents than by the 3-year-old it was intended for, though she did decide she'd wear it eventually) and completely cute. Not bad for a gift that just took a couple evenings worth of knitting.
