The Walker and Daughter Gang Returns
Friday January 9, 2009
If you enjoyed Kate Jacobs' debut novel The Friday Night Knitting Club, you'll probably like her new novel, Knit Two as well.
The book picks up five years after the first one left off. Little Dakota is in college now, trying to get out from under her father's protective wing and do what she wants with her life, rather than what everyone else things she should do.
This book is a lot less about knitting than the first one, as everyone is busier now and there are fewer club meetings happening, but it's still a tale of how knitting brings people together even as it is a story of change, holding on and letting go. I enjoyed it at least as much as the first one, and I think you will, too.
Have you read any good knitting fiction lately?
