Rockin' Accessories

Creative people tend to be creative in more than one way. Most people who knit also take part in one or more (sometimes many more) other crafts as well. So it should be no surprise to us that so many actors, actresses, musicians and other folks who make their living through being creative also happen to be great knitters.
So it is with Kelley Deal, singer for the Breeders and author of the knitting book Bags that Rock. Deal knits on the road and in the studio and finds that bags are a perfect portable project that also come in handy when traveling.
The book features 20 patterns, most of which use pretty simple shapes that leave plenty of room for creative improvisation. What she does with handles alone (or should I say what she uses for handles) will give you plenty of inspiration to change up the way you make bags and hopefully will get you thinking outside the traditional when you make your next bag project.
