Felt Fantasia

Felting is a lot of fun, to me, because there are so many different effects you can get using different techniques. A great many of the ways you can manipulate knitting before and after felting are detailed in Alison Crowther-Smith's Shibori Knitted Felt.
The book covers all sorts of ways to fold, tie, stitch, bead, bobble and otherwise embellish knitting, before and after felting, to produce some really wonderful textured looks. From a pillow covered with bobbles to baby room decor that's felted and then cut into shapes, there's something for just about everyone in this book.
Even if you're familiar with shibori and other embellishing techniques, this book will inspire you to try new things and take the art in a different direction. And if you've only ever made plain Jane felted knit projects (not that there's anything wrong with that!) this book will leave you itching to try a few new tricks.
