Knitting Flowers

Flowers are a popular motif in all sorts of crafty media, and in knitting we can make them through colorwork or through a pattern of eyelets, as is the case with this week's stitch, Flower Eyelet.

Also known as Daisy Eyelet, this easy eyelet pattern looks like a bunch of daisies on your knit fabric, with nice big holes thanks to the use of a double yarn over.

This stitch would be perfect for summery garments or on a cardigan where you want what you're wearing underneath to show through. It would also be really cute on anything for a little girl.

Yours is my favorite site. Each day I check what’s “new”…and eagerly look forward to a new project to try stitches.

I’m knitting more than ever, trying new yarns and patterns, working on shrugs for my granddaughters…so cute. Making lots of hats and socks…for the whole family. Especialy liked making children’s socks, very quick!
