Get Your Stockings On

If you're a big fan of knitting stockings, and if you'd like to knit some stockings that are a little fancier than most of the patterns you see out there, you'll want to check out the new ebook from Interweave Press, Christmas Stockings: 7 Classic Holiday Treasures to Knit, edited by Elain Lipson.

This 40-page electronic book is a portion of a larger book published back in 2001 that is no longer available from Interweave. It includes seven Christmas stocking patterns, ranging from a basic one inspired by a sock monkey to an incredibly elaborate and beautiful design using Austrian traveling stitches. There's an Aran stocking, a Fair Isle stocking and one inspired by an Estonian design. These patterns will help you make heirloom stockings that are truly like nothing else out there.
