Wordless Wednesday: The Colors of Fall

Wednesday November 19, 2008
Cascade 220 Heathers
It might be one of the last really beautiful days of fall that we get where I live, so I couldn't resist taking some fall colored yarn out to play in the fallen leaves.

The golden skein is Cascade Yarns' The Heathers 220, and the orange one is regular old Cascade 220. Both are 100 percent wool and have 220 yards per 100 gram hank in medium weight. I love 220 for a lot of different kinds of projects, from felting to clothing. And it's just pretty to look at, too.

Those colors are sooo pretty! Great idea to juxtapose them by the leaves.

Our last days of fall are waaaaaay behind us as we’re now into the whites, grays and blacks of winter. Gorgeous colors in their own right. But I’ve always had a preference for the fall colors. Living up here, you’d go nuts if you couldn’t appreciate those.
Thanks for sharing!
