Christmas Stocking

The holidays will be here before we know it, and for the next couple of weeks I'm going to be providing you with a bunch of ideas and patterns for decorating your home with yarn. It starts today with this adorable and super-easy Two-Color Stocking. Pick any two colors, from colors of the season to your favorite sports team, knit up this slim stocking and, if you want, decorate it with duplicate stitch, add on beads or do anything else you like to jazz it up.

As written this pattern makes a smallish stocking, perfect for little gifts, but you can always make yours bigger by just casting on more stitches and making the leg and foot longer. Since it doesn't actually have to fit a person, the shaping doesn't have to be perfect.
