Ribs with Flair

There are so many different variations on ribbing that it seems a shame to use just plain old knit one, purl one on your projects. This week's stitch of the week, Beaded Rib, is a great example of how just a little difference in the way a rib is worked can make a big difference in the way it looks.

Beaded Rib is dominated by columns of knit stitches with purl "beads" between them, making for an interesting texture without much more effort. Like other ribs, it has plenty of stretch and would be great for a scarf or anywhere you might normally use a less interesting ribbing stitch.
