Cropped Cutie

These days I'm really into cardigans. I never really liked them before, but I'm suddenly seeing how great they can be for throwing on (or just over your shoulders) when you're feeling a little chill. You can keep one on the back of your office chair or near different places where you like to sit and it's always available when you need it. They're more convenient than crawling under an afghan but still provide plenty of warmth you can easily shed.

One of my current favorite cardigans is this cropped cardigan, which is pretty perfect for this time of year where I live. You can slip it on over a T-shirt or long-sleeved T for a run to the mailbox or the grocery store, and it keeps you warm without completely roasting you.

The chunky knit and simple design make this one a breeze to knit, even if you've never knit a cardigan before. You could easily work a piece each evening and have your own cuddly cardi in a week or less.
