Getting Ecological

Cascade Yarns' Ecological Wool is a great choice if you're looking for naturally colored wool that comes in skeins with really generous yardage. With this one you get almost 500 yards per skein, meaning you'll only need one or two skeins to complete some projects.

This yarn is also really easy to work with, feels good on the needles and doesn't split despite its lose construction. It's a great general wool yarn for all sorts of uses.

Of course, it does only come in the natural colors of shades of beige, brown and cream, so it's not perfect for all bulky knitting projects, but it is a good yarn to get to know for all that winter knitting you've been thinking about.

Even though these yarns only come in natural colours, it is possible to dye them to whatever shade that you like. I do my dyeing in a crockpot.
