Those of you who were reading back around Earth Day may remember my interview with Jenn Wisbeck of Midnightsky Fibers, who talked all about her methods of producing environmentally friendly yarns.

Jenn was kind enough to send me a couple of sample yarns to review, and I was kind enough to forget about them for a good long time, but the reviews are now up for your reading pleasure.

I got to work with Roo Rio, a super bulky twisted yarn that's naturally dyed and makes a firm fabric, and Rockfish, a lovely light yarn that would be the perfect thing for a special sweater or a lacy scarf.

Because everything at Midnightsky is made by hand in tiny batches, these particular yarns may never be seen again, but the reviews should give you an idea of the quality of the products that you'll get if you order from Jenn. And they make some nice eye candy, too. Enjoy!

Hi Sarah,

I just had to tell you how much i love your knitting directions. I am attempting to learn now, it’s something i’ve always wanted to learn, and your directions are by far the easiest i’ve ran across on the web. Your explainations are simple, slow for usnewbies, and just great. And your pictures are worth a thousand words! Thank you so so much!
