Cozy Up Your Notebook

I don't know how many of you are fans of the Moleskine line of notebooks, but I really like them. I have one I carry around and jot down pattern ideas, finished patterns, yarn reviews and random knitting thoughts in.

Lots of people decorate the decidedly plain outsides of their notebooks, but I thought, being a knitter, it would be right and good to knit a Moleskine cozy. This is for the pocket sized Moleskine, but of course it would be easy to scale up if you use the bigger model.

The fun thick and thin yarn gives the finished pouch almost a ribbed look, and it's easy to reach for the fuzzy, yet hard, thing in my purse or bag and know I have my notebook. It would also be a nice way to present a gift of one of these fine notebooks.
