Charity Spotlight: Knitting Hats for Charity

Since I recently told you all about the British Save the Children knitting campaign called Knit One, Save One, I was thinking about opportunities for stateside knitters to knit hats for others. Our own Save the Children campaign, known as Caps to the Capital, apparently hasn't been renewed for 2008 (please let me know if this is wrong, I'm only finding 2007 information on their website).

But there are plenty of ways that knitters can give caps to others, whether they donate locally to homeless shelters or give to an established program. Here are a few hat-loving charities you might want to cast your needles on:
