To Finish or to Frog, That is the Question

Thursday May 29, 2008
When faced with a mountain of unfinished projects, it can be pretty daunting to decide which ones to finish and which ones to rip out and try again. Here are some questions you can ask yourself that might make the process a little easier.

Also, I mentioned earlier this week that my inspiration for this little quest was Manda at Knitting Psychos. I recently talked to her about how she got started finishing and frogging, how she decides which projects get which treatment, and how things are going for her so far. May her words inspire us all to get some projects finished!

(1) Jen says:

I was working on a beautiful lace shawl when my father became seriously ill. I spent three days in the hospital sitting with him, working on the shawl. After it was finished I didn’t want to wear it. Although my father recovered, the shawl had that “hospital smell” and reminded me of the hours and hours I spent there. I gave it away.
