Wordless Wednesday: Andean Silk Twist

Wednesday May 28, 2008
Andean silk
Knit Picks Andean Silk Twist, 55 percent superfine alpaca, 23 percent silk, 22 percent merino wool. 50 grams per skein, medium weight. (c) Sarah E. White

This yarn gets the nod this week even though it's been discontinued (Andean Silk still exists, just not the multi-colored skeins) because it's the first success from my Finish or Frog experiment.

This yarn had been on the needles for years. I thought I was going to make a shrug out of it, but the stitch pattern I picked was all wrong for the colors. I definitely want to use this yarn, just not for what I originally intended. One down, 19 to go!
