A Manly Looking Sock

Men's Woven Rib SockWoven Rib Sock (c) Sarah E. White.
My husband still says he won't wear knit socks if I knit them for him (mostly because he's afraid they'll be too warm and/or that he'll wear them out really fast), but for those of you who do have a man you can knit socks for (or you are a man who wants to knit socks for himself) I've devised this easy Woven Rib Sock.

It's knit with a nice dark yarn (because who can resist knitting a man sock with a Kaffe Fassett yarn?) but this stitch is conveniently the stitch of the week as well to give you a better look at the pattern stitch.

This is a pretty easy sock that will keep you a little more entertaining than straight ribbing would, and it gives the sock a more interesting look that's still simple enough a man would wear it.
