There are lots of different yarns you can make socks out of, some more successfully than others. Whether you choose a washable wool for durability and ease of care or an eco-friendly fiber for environmental reasons, or anything in between, most knitters have their favorite sock yarns, just like they have their favorite kinds of needles and methods of knitting.
