Slanty Stripes

Even though it's not remotely cold yet where I live, I've got scarves on the brain. Maybe it's just an act of hope, that if I keep knitting cool-weather things Nature will eventually catch up.

This Slant Scarf is really a simple garter stitch scarf gussied up with the use of a self-striping yarn and increases at the beginning and decreases at the end to make a slanted edge.

The striping yarn makes this project a lot more interesting, because you can't wait to see how the stripes turn out, but it would be fine to make it in a solid or a multicolored yarn that doesn't stripe if you like.
