Good Yarns

Every knitter has a story. It could be the story of how he or she started knitting, the story of a project gone awry or the perfect knitted object that has been cherished for years.More than 70 such stories are shared in KnitLit: Sweaters and Their Stories...And Other Writing About Knitting, edited by Linda Roghaar and Molly Wolf. This lovely book is the first in what is now a series of three books full of short essays in which knitters share their stories.
These stories tell of children being forced to learn to knit, precious objects made and shared with love, special yarn, the joy of noisy needles and much more. This book will make you laugh, smile, maybe even cry, certainly feel great about being a knitter. Perhaps it will even encourage you to share your story and your love of knitting with others.

Just over 40 years ago, I knit my oldest daughter a coat for Easter. Two more daughters wore that coat, followed by two other little girls & finally my four granddaughters. We’ve only had to replace the buttons once. Who knows how many little bodies this coat will keep warm.
What a great site and excellent resource you have. yacht cruises
