Double Delight
Sunday December 31, 2006
Most of us, when we learn to knit small projects like socks in the round, learn to knit on double-pointed needles. Some time later in our knitting lives we learn about knitting in the round on two circular needles. Many knitters prefer this method, finding it faster and easier than knitting with double-pointed needles. For knitters who have never used the two circulars method, trying to figure it out on your own can be pretty confusing. Which stitches do you knit with which needles? What do you do at the end of a row?
I've written a quick tutorial to go with the fingerless gloves pattern so that even those who've never used this method before can complete this project, too.
Knitting in the round with two circular needles is a great way to knit socks and other small projects, so it's a great skill to pick up.

I love knitting with 2 circulars any pattern that calls for double pointed I us the circular needles
Thanks for this. I love using two circs to knit two sleeves or socks at once! After you’ve mastered 1 item on 2 circs (and this page you’ve made is awesome) 2 on 2 is just another step. I like it because my sleeves turn out the same length now!
